This was a really wonderful find with amazing views. While it's one of the few restaurants around, the food and views did not disappoint. The interior has loads of beachy New England charm, complete with lobster tanks, Giffords ice cream, and super friendly staff. Our grilled seafood sampler plate was SO good - everything had a seasoned, smoky flavor that tasted like it was grilled over charcoal in our own backyard. Boiled lobster was great (nothing fancy), and the kids' portion sizes were appropriate. Sometimes restaurants give way too much food for a kids meal.
Love this inlet area and watching beach guests during our outdoor dinner. Let's face it, if you love the ocean and seafood you can't go wrong at Spinney's. I first came here in the 70s and loved it just as much this time. Food prices are about the going rate for the area and the waitress was very attentive and sweet. Try the calimari and clams. Just the spot for a sunset meal.
Great restaurant near Fort Popham for breakfast lunch and dinner. If you're looking for a traditional clam & lobster boil dinner look no further. Also plenty of options for kids and folks that would prefer not to have sea food.
I'm not sure how busy they get in the high season, but if you're in the area, you should check it out!
